DI-AMO IS A CONTEMPORARY ARTIST ON A MISSION.
Visual artist Di-Amo Manuhutu comes from a particularly musical and creative Moluccan / Dutch family. From a young age he was fed a daily dose of art and culture at home. As a result, he discovered his own creative path in various forms of expression – from playing music to drawing cartoons or making graffiti art.
In artistic education he was given the opportunity to follow his passion for graphic design and illustration and at the same time getting inspired by Amsterdam street culture. His advanced educations in construction, architecture and advertising presentation gave him the spatial, technical but also commercial insight that he needed to put his creative talents to use.
In the following years Di-Amo’s graphic skills did not go unnoticed. He was given the opportunity to work for renowned brands where he was responsible for the design and implementation of product marketing campaigns, retail window concepts, store activation as well as the roll out of several international store concepts. After building his graphic trackrecord in the fashion, sport and advertising industry, he decided to focus on his artistic ambitions. He traded in his desk for an Amsterdam art studio, where he works on a mix of digital and physical artworks.
In his acrylic and spray paint works on canvas he examines the social aspect in visual art and communication. With this artistic perspective in mind, he is constantly looking for authentic collaborations with the commercial and creative industry – in the shape of art related projects, personalised tailored artworks, murals, among other things, art direction, branding, graphic design & logo design
